2014: That's a Wrap
Thank you
2014 is almost over, which is quite the shock...I feel this year really did fly big. This year there were plenty of highs and lows. Unfortunately a lot of lows...especially towards the end. But- I couldn't have made it through these difficult months without some very special people. I want to take a moment and thank each and every one of you {and all of you reading this}. There are many people who have stood by my side. But there are those that even after I was out of my low, still cared about how I was doing moving forward. Without your love, encouragement, and support I wouldn't have made it through the last of 2014. I felt hopeless, helpless, and as if all my dreams were crushed along with my hard work not being important anymore. But each of you  way or another helped lift my spirits. You made an impact on my life this year, and for that I thank you from the bottom of my heart. I will never forget all that you have done for me, and I pray that our bond only grows stronger over the years.

Watch the video below, then find your name in the list to see why I'm thankful for you, not only this year, but to have you in my life. xoxo

Amber Baaji Pumbaa, this is all going sound so cliché. You have been my rock since day one. I want you to know how much you mean to me. Your never ending support, love, and encouragement is what has kept me going over the past few months. I would be lost without you. You are the world to me. I love you.
Bhaiyya You are more than a big brother, you’re my friend. You let me express my words and tell you what I really want to do in my life even though sometimes I’m afraid to say it. Thank you for driving to my place to check up on me and being there for me these past few months without a second thought.
Abbu We have a bond that is different than most father-daughter relationships. Thank you for always telling me that I’m strong. The fact that we’re able to pick on one another and make each other laugh means a lot to me.
Amma Oh, mommy. You’re the person who has gone through so much just to make sure that I’m always ok. Despite not showing too much affection, I know how strong your love is for me. You reassure me that I can go further than I think, because you know what I am truly capable of. Thank you for everything you do. You are the definition of strength and I look up to you more than you will even know,
Siri It’s hard to start with you. We’ve been best friends since 8th grade. Even though we haven’t seen much of one another over the years, we always pick up where we left off. These past few months were really tough, and you were always a phone call/text away. You never failed to be there for me in any way you could. Thank you for supporting me in my final decision. I miss you & hope to see you soon. We’re the brunette and blonde with an unbreakable bond.
Moe O. Wow, we started off as family friends, and it has turned into an amazing friendship. Over the past few months a lot has changed. Thank you for being there for me at 8 in the morning and midnight. You helped me find my way and make crucial decisions.  Thanks for still responding to my silly texts and reassuring me that the next chapter in my life will be great. I know your journey through life is only getting better!
Evelyn You were one of the first friends I made in Austin. From taking me out for coffee just to talk to taking me grocery shopping. Thank you for looking out for me like a big sister would. I miss you and am so grateful to have met a sweet, kind-hearted, caring person like you. I am so proud of all that you have accomplished.
Baaji Kya ji Baaji! Haha, after coming back- your door has always been open. If I just need space or time to myself, I know I can hide out at your place. Thank you for listening to laugh and sob on the phone. For understanding what I already knew and encouraging me to take the next step that was best for me and my future.
Nadia Nadi, even though you’ve been so busy with your first semester of college and adjusting you still took the time to listen to what I was going through. Even though sometimes you didn’t understand that didn’t shake your willingness to support me.
Haya Beti, you’re someone who understands me on a level that not many others do. Thank you for supporting my decision and helping me take my time to heal.
Humza you’re such a goofball. You help me forget about all the worries and just live in the moment. I truly am grateful to have you.
Khala You are my aunt, second mom, and friend. Thank you for being there with open arms when I came back. Thank you for always checking in on me.
Nancy, Ladees, Nyrie, Gabby, Cherie Ladies, we all met at orientation over the summer and I never thought we would still be in touch. Thank you {especially Nyrie} for being a text away, and for wishing me the best before I left. I am grateful that our paths crossed even if it was only for a little bit.
Vikash For over three years you have been one of my friends that I call or text and I don’t have to say anything for you to know. But through these past few months, even though you have been busy in your life and school you always made sure that I was ok.
Patricia I miss you so much, but whenever we need one another we are there for each other. Not talking for months, then if something happens or we just want to catch up, it’s as if no time has passed. I am so glad I met you.
Chewbacca CAT! My blue-eyed ball of fur. Past all the bites, scratching, hitting, and mean glares, I know you love me deep down, and I love you too.

Thank you all for being supportive, a shoulder to lean on, and yet different in each way that you have you been there for me. I am so grateful to have you all in my life. & of course thank you to all my friends and family. I wouldn’t have made it these past few months if it weren’t for each of you. From making me believe in myself to chasing my dreams. Because  of you, I will follow all my passions and hopes and build myself back up to the strong, independent, young woman you all know.

& of course thank you all who continue to read my blog.
Here's to a better, happier, fashionable, and sparkly year!
