Personal MakeUp Style

April 23, 2015

Hi loves! Hope you're having a fabulous week so far! I know I have had an amazing and blessed week  so far! {details to come soon}

Today, I wanted to share some of my personal make up tricks/hacks with you, I admit I am no make-up pro, but sometimes I even surprise myself! Enjoy!

Always use a primer, even if you're just wearing liquid liner on top. I like Milani's Eyeshadow Primer, not only is it cheap, but it's easy to apply, and it helps keep my eye make up in place. My eye shadows always look more pigmented when I use this primer.
 For eye liner on the water line, I use Urban Decay 24/7 in Perversion, but still get smudges. I've been thinking of switching to Hourglass, I hear it's amazing! But for now, while I still have my Urban Decay, I line my waterline with the eyeliner, then pat on the black matte eye-shadow on top of the eyeliner!
 For winged liner, I actually use tape. I admit that I don't have the most steady hand. I angle the tap the way I want my wing to go, and leave however much room I want to in between the tap and my skin depending on how thick I want to the wing.
To make your lashes look fuller, apply eyeliner to the top of your lid, I just slight close my eyes and run the liner in between, or just gently pull your eyelid upward and fill in the waterline. This helps give an illusion of 'closing the gaps' between your lashes creating a more fuller look. Then curl your lashes, and apply your mascara! I personally curl, then apply 1-2 coats of mascara, curl again, and apply 1-2 more coats depending on the look I am going for.

Vaseline Lip Therapy//Sephora Lip Stain in Always Red

As I'm doing my make up, I'll put Vaseline on my lips to keep them mosturized throughout my make up routine. Even 10 minutes of mositurizing helps, especially when wearing a lip stain {which is my go-to}. I always apply my lip liner and lip-stain, lipstick, or lip gloss last.
I am in LOVE with the Sephora's Cream Lip Stain collection and now successfully own 8 of their colors!

Of course, use a primer. I then use the stipple method of applying my BB Cream. It helps create a dewy-glow finish.

There's the classic fish-face you can make, or angle your blush up towards the top of your ear. I usually use a stipple/patting on method when applying blush. And always tap off excess, because you don't want blush fall out!

Hope I was even a teeny-tiny bit helpful! Have tips you want to share? Comment below!
